Razvan Mocan - Management for Driving Schools (1^st Place)

The application aims to help driving schools reduce the amount of time they spend on doing paperwork. The application consists of two parts - optical character recognition and data manipulation. The OCR is performed on an ID or a driving license using cloud computing in order to provide the best execution time and the best accuracy. The text obtained after the first step is parsed and and the user is provided with all the necessary data. After the data is checked and modified if necessary, the application proceeds to fill in a PDF document ,which can be selected by the user or creates one using a sample, with the obtained information.

Alexandra Albu - Positivity

This project was created for those times when one needs a break and needs some time to rediscover that there is still hope and positive aspects still exist. The main character and the only one that the user can influence in the frames of the game is a yellow ghost. As said previously, one needs sometimes a break to collect the good aspects and think of something nice and positive. Hence, the dialog box appears and asks the user to input a positive word. If the word is one of the standard positive ones, the ghost receives +1 positive energy charge. If not, well, the user will have another chance later.

After moving for a while in the frames, the ghost encounters the actual representation of the negative thoughts in the form of some furry 2-D little black beings. The can disappear when they come in contact with a positive energy ball that can be recharged by the method previously exposed. This game continues until the user wants to exit.

Rareș Găman - Management of employees

My program is managing the employees of a company. All the Employees have the following information : Name, Last name, ID, Method of payment and Method of delivery. The Employees are unique by their ID. They could be Full paid, Hourly payed or Commissioned payed. They can choose if they want to receive their money by mail, bank account or at the Post Office. With this program we can add a new employee, search an employee with some specific information, display all employees in the company, delete an employee or delete all employees.

The purpose of this project is to provide general information about an European country, namely its position on the map and briefly details from Google.

Nemțoc Alexandru – Battle of the Elements

Battle of the Elements is a card game which requires 2 players. Each player will have a deck made out of monster cards, magic cards and defense cards. Each player will have 5 points of life and the game ends when one of them is attacked without having any life points left. The game is played on a board which has monsters zone, magic/defense zone, fusion deck, field, graveyard and the deck zone.
