About The Java Tutorial Books

	The Java Tutorial: The Second Edition This edition covers JDK 1.1 and is available in bookstores now. The version of the tutorial found at the JavaSoft Web site largely corresponds to the second edition. We are continuing to update the online version from the book. For errata, CD-ROM and other information about the second edition, refer to its book.html file.
	The Java Tutorial: The First Edition This edition was published in the summer of 1996 and covers JDK 1.0.2. The online version corresponding to first edition is no longer available at the JavaSoft Web site. You can find it on the CD-ROM of the first edition of the book. For errata, CD-ROM and other information about the first edition, refer to its book.html file.
